the beginnings of a wedding dress!

The idea that I have on paper made its way to fabric today! In my first class I learned so much! Draping, pattern cutting, pinning and so much more. This is going to be so much fun, and my teacher Nora is so nice.

First we padded this form so that it was the same size as me then we started draping to make my pattern.
The shop is super cute and its really fun to be hanging out with a bunch of creative ladies (there were 4 other women in my class tonight). One of the girls is 18 and she is making a killer prom dress that she is entering in a JoAnn fabrics contest where she can win $50,000.00

Class one of 3 complete! Now I'm off to do my homework!

I was disappointed to not see any new posts on the wedding dress. I am teaching myself to sew so I can do some small projects. I am not ready for a wedding dress.

Nice to meet you! You can check out my blog, if you'd like. I am a fantasy and horror author.
