Fruit O the Week!

Papaya

It is the most beautiful delicious looking fruit, but I must admit that I didn't really love it. I ate one half plain and then blended the other half into a smoothie which was good.

{Easter Weekend}

Dustin's mom Linda made this adorable Easter cake...I think she is missing her grand babies because this is any childs dream cake =)

We celebrated Linda's birthday.
She is trying to decide what kind of wine she likes, so we decided to have a little wine tasting of our own.
We played a few rounds of my new Skunk game, and tested out some new wines.

This little guy (a plastic cockroach) floats around the kitchen and always seems to end up in someones food or drink.
And my new veggie of last week...blackeyed pea. Dustin's mom made these Saturday night. They taste a lot like a pinto bean to me.

Happy Easter!

He is not here he is Risen!
Hope your Easter Sunday is filled with the peace and joy of knowing that Christ has risen for you!

It's a love hate kinda thing...

So yesterday Dustin convinced me (I knew it was time deep down myself) that yesterday was the day to start running again. He had started running about 3 weeks ago and had been trying to get me started but to no avail. So I gave in slipped on my running shoes and told him my goal was 3 miles. He was convinced I could do better then that. So I chugged along up all the hills that he loves (because they "are great for conditioning") panting, whining and giving him the death glare every time he talk about how it was "such a beautiful day", or how "the mountains look amazing". But some how he kept me chugging to the very end...4.6 miles! I must have stolen some of his will power because God knows I don't have enough to push me that far! I told him afterwards that I hated him throughout the run...but I absolutely love him for pushing me and helping realize how far I can push myself!

{Fruit of the week}

Last week...what can I say I was on vacation. I don't recall trying any new veggies, shame on me. But if you want to count it...and I sure am, I did try a fig. Sure it was stuffed an coated with chocolate...but it was a fig none the less. I will try harder this week I promise. =)

Way Behind!

Opps! I need To catch you up on my new fruits and veggies! This is from 2 weeks ago! It was a pretty lame week as far as finding something adventuresome...but I was with D and we were shopping at Walmart, what can I say?

Yes I have tried a pear before but this is an Asian pear...so that counts=) It was quite delicious!

And the only veggie that I could find at Walmart that I had never tried were radishes. I ate one raw...they are crunchy and pretty bland. Then I sauteed one in butter and added a little salt and peper...better but still not my favorite. (Sorry Grandma)
